电话键盘上的“#”在英文中怎么念？

这个问题困扰了我很久了。虽然不是很严重，但解决起来也花了一点工夫。

在digg上看到某大学因为某种原因（没细看）而放弃使用 CISCO 的电话系统，标题中有个不认识的词：Asterisk。查了一下知道是星号的意思。于是想起来也不知道井号怎么念（字典上有星号没井号）。先在 google 上搜 telephone 0-9 asterisk，返回了一堆产品介绍，唯一不像产品介绍的是 Wikipedia，不过，你也知道啦，这个结果在这片土地上跟没有一样——如果你没办法绕过 GFW 的话。

后来又查 google image，看到 telephone keypad 的图片，想起关键词应该有 keypad，再从 google 搜，最后终于知道了：

The "*" is called the star or asterisk key. The "#" is called the number sign, pound key or hash key, depending on one's nationality or personal preference.

这种英文学习上的困扰挺烦的，以后要多上 Flickr，研究各种 tag。
